In previous careers within the Civil Service, journalism, media and the arts I have developed a skill set that combines a confidence in public speaking, a sympathetic and clear method of delivery and an empathy to the situation of losing a loved one. I am also able to help write the service and the eulogy from my experience of writing for various publications. Most importantly I can provide as much help as is needed, and you have the reassurance of my helping deliver the eulogy if at times the service becomes overwhelming.
COMMUNICATION IS KEY
We will meet to plan the service between us. This can be at a place and time of your choosing but the idea is that between us we can spend some time talking about your loved one so that their personality can be truly reflected in the ceremony. – I can make suggestions and help with the content.
You may like me to write a personal tribute about your loved one – the Eulogy. Though this of course can be written by you or between us as we reflect on the departed history and include and stories and anecdotes. This can be delivered by myself, a friend or a family member
For your peace of mind, I will ask you to check the final script before the funeral and suggest any alterations
I will stay in close contact with your funeral director. We work as a team to follow your instructions and requests closely
My fee will be managed by your funeral director and listed as a ‘disbursement’ on your final invoice.
